Free condoms and lube are available at most gay bars, cafés and dance clubs. The condoms and lube are distributed by STOP AIDS and funded by local authorities. Changes in local government in 2007 may mean an end to free condoms in certain parts of Denmark, but they will still be available in Copenhagen and Aarhus.

Of course, you can also buy your condoms and lube, if you prefer to do so. Condoms are sold almost everywhere, and lubricants are avaliable at most pharmacies and porn shops.

Please remember that lubricants should always be water-based or silicone-based, as other kinds of lube can destroy the condom.

At gay saunas and sex clubs you can also get free condoms and lube. If you have used the condoms you are given at the entrance, do not hesitate to ask for more.

In some public parks where gay and bisexual men meet to have sex, you might also find free condoms and lube hidden in small "bird houses" in the crusing area. Still, as these containers may be empty it is advisable to bring your own condoms and lube.
